Tuesday, Jan. 09, 2007 a perpetually happy-sappy-person

im gonna post the pictures from our tour next time. i have too many to choose from. lols.

well,
it's a brand new year!!!!!
what an appropriate way to start a year, reflecting back on the previous one, before i forgot the significance of having been through another year. after all, there's always room for self-improvements. :)

2006 was a breeze in many ways.
the first half was totally convoluted. Be it the rush for handsome happenings or the unneccessary involvements, troubles, and disappointments, they are enough to make the clouds gloom.
and a much better half when i have somehow learnt ways so as to have a counterbalance life.

Fresh Fire retreat brought so much simple-yet-forgotten lessons from Pak Benni:
1) The heart of our Father God
2) how to forgive others
3) being responsive to God's calling
even then,
I have obliviously forgotten about them for far too long. :(

In 2007,
i do hope that i will mature in my attitude towards dealing with circumstances for a more peaceful life.
life-management,
time-management..
and the list goes on. :)
Most importantly, to re-commit myself to God.
as what my mum says; it's better to have that worthy few around. :)

Ci Yolanda's 2006 closing speech reminded of a sentence that Pak Benni once said about dreaming big which echoes one of my favorite quotes:"big dreams start small"
how is it that we never experience breakthrough and never witness transformation?
coz' we simply don't dream it.
we're too contented with the stagnancy of present life [not that contented is bad], we no longer focus on the purpose God appoints us here for.

give than take.
sow and reap. :)

-----------------
school is into its 2nd week now.
so far, i enjoyed my piano lesson most.
we learnt how to play and read notes on both treble & bass clef for the most part. what i enjoy most is the fact that i came to school to tutor in the morning & a class in the afternoon then i'm off to do my homework & rest. haha.
i also thought that my English 31 professor is rather strict on grading.
he has a worth-commenting, unusual sense of humor, in calling school papers, the "retarded cousins of essays." a five to that! haha. as i read the English discussion threads more and more, the more I think that my classmates are so well-crafted in their expressions.

you disappoint more and more, it seems. i trusted you with something that's of a great importance for me yet you seem to not take responsibility for it. you don't ever take anything seriously, do you?

"And this is why writing is culturally important--we get our best thinking accomplished and communicated when we use language this way. Not when we use languge in normal conversation to chat with each other." Reichle B (my professor, that is. ;P )
